Questions Answered During The Webinar:
Q:Are there any companies that you know of that are doing a good job of leveraging Snapchat?
A: McDonalds, AOL, JP Morgan, GrubHub have all used Snapchat in their recruiting efforts.
Q:Do you have suggetions for basic social media training?
A: It’s not something we do specifically, but I can recommend this article at HR Daily Advisor: Tips for Training Your Staff on Social Media Use at Work
Q:How do we claim the 2 months free?
A: Contact us above.
Q:Can you elaborate on Job Titles don’t have vague titles?
A: Yes, so for example, if you have an Accounting position, and you have several “levels” of that at your company, the official in-house titles might be Accountant I, Accountant II, Acountant III and so on. We recommend that when you post a job using iRecruit, you use searchable titles i.e. an actual job or phrase someone might type into a search engine. “Accountant” or “Entry Level Accountant” rather than “Acct. III” or “Administrative Assistant” instead of “Adm. Asst.” for example.
Q: How do you handle the issues with drug screening as far as transparency/recruiting? Do you downplay it like “”in the fine print”” or do you make it a strength as a drug-free workplace?
A: Don’t make it the main focus of your job description, but don’t bury it in the fine print either, “we do drug testing” or “a drug test is required”. Drug-Free Workplace is the perfect phrase to include in your list of benefits.
Q: Glassdoor – how do you deal with competitors leaving fake reviews?
A: This is a tricky question. How do you, or anyone know if the reviews are real or faked? Monitor your reviews regularly – every week if you can – and make sure you respond to them. You can challenge reviews that appear fake or violates Glassdoor’s community guidelines. What can I do about negative reviews on Glassdoor?
Q: Is Twitter chat a separate feature on Twitter, or are you saying to create/welcome a dialogue between yourself and candidates? Also, when we go live on FB or Snap, are we walking around showing how great the organization is, or is this just to answer questions?
A: So a Twitter Chat is not a seprate feature that Twitter offers. Instead, it’s more of a planned event where you carve out some time to be active on Twitter asking and responding to questions. This is where you would create yourself a hashtag #wearehiring (or similar) to link all the Tweets in the chat together. When you go live on Facebook, Snap, Instagram, or another platform you can answer questions that you’ve received, give a tour of your office, talk about your newest available role. There’s tons of different ideas and things you could do.
