Can I add a Training Video to iConnect?

At iRecruit we get many questions sent in by customers. We thought we would share some of the questions with you on our blog. iConnect is an add-on module for iRecruit Applicant Tracking Software that allows you to communicate with candidates and new hires. iConnect eliminates (or vastly reduces) the paper-heavy aspect of hiring.

Can I add video to iConnect?

Customer had a training video they wanted to include with iConnect and make available to all new hires as they come onboard. The training video was listed as an unlisted video on You Tube so it was really easy to insert.  We added a simple web page to their iConnect forms and named it “Training Video”. We inserted the video using the You Tube embed code, making sure it was also secure. The video was made available to new employees when their status was changed to “Hired”. Each newly hired employee received an automatic email to notify them the video was available to review.

Additionally, the same company wanted proof that the new hires had viewed and understood the training video. So as a second step, we added a simple multiple choice questionnaire that the new hires could complete after viewing the training video. Responses to the questionnaire were “scored” so that the company could see the total number of correct responses submitted by the new hire.

iConnect does not host videos, but can link to video hosted on other sources such as YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram etc.
