Four Things You Need to Know When Texting Job Applicants

  1. It’s Permission Based. In order to be in compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act you need to collect permission to text with anyone. Candidates can opt-in to receiving texts from you via the application page.

  2. Your work or personal cell phone number remains private. Each text conversation you start with candidates is done with a unique local number. Your actual phone number is not exposed to the applicant.
  3. Replies are faster. The average open rate of text messages is 98% versus the open rate for emails at 20-30%, using iRecruit TXT can help you increase your time to fill and time to find easily.
  4. Save Templates. Save texting templates for frequently sent messages to use with iRecruit TXT, just like you can do with email.
