Several years ago we wrote about the 5 things Jobseekers Want, this was based on a Careerbuilder.com survey of employees that discussed the factors applicants value most when considering an employer. The survey’s top answers were:

  • Benefits
  • Advancement
  • Work-Life Balance
  • Appreciation by Management

Indeed has provided an updated survey of the top employers in the United States, and what attracts millennial employees to them.

  • To Make an Impactt
  • Support Flexibility
  • Health and Family
  • Tuition Reimbursement

In the six years since the first survey two things stand out the most: flexibility and work-life balance for the employees, and tuition reimbursement is growing as a major benefit to attract  millennials and Gen Z employees.

How this applies to your applicant tracking software, and career center:

Firstly, making sure the applicants who visit your iRecruit Career site are aware of the compensation and benefits for the position can attract applicants who otherwise may have just left your site. We encourage you to make that information clear on your requisition listing for each position you create with iRecruit.
