Last year employers received approximately $3.8 Billion from the Work Opportunity Tax Credit. It is immensely valuable. When you hire new employees, it’s easy to screen for eligibility as part of the onboard process. 10-15% of all new hires may be eligible. WOTC offers a tax credit of up to $9,600 for employers who hire individuals from ten target groups. The average tax credit is $2,400.
